Chi中 Eng英 Chinese Dishes - Deep fried glutinous rice dumpling with red bean paste
Ingredient - 300g glutinous rice flour
- 1 tbsp lard or peanut oil
- 80g raw sugar bar
- 1 cup water
- 300g red bean paste

Method- Boil sugar bar in water until it dissolves. Turn off the heat. Stir in glutinous rice flour. Cover the lid and leave it for a while. Stir again until thick batter consistency. Leave it to cool.
- Put the glutinous rice flour on a table. Add oil and knead into dough.
- Divide the dough into 30 portions. Shape them round and roll them flat.
- Divide red bean paste into 30 portions. Stuff one portion of red bean paste onto each rolled-out dough. Fold the dough once into a semicircle and seal.
- Deep fry the dumplings in hot oil until golden. Serve.
