Chi中 Eng英 Chinese Dishes - Stuffed Hairy Melon with Shrimp and Pork
Ingredient - Hairy melon 12 slices
- Minced pork 1/2 catty
- Shrimp 10 taels

Seasoning- Water 1/2 bowl
- Corn starch 1 1/2 tbsp
- Sugar 1 tbsp
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Sesame oil 1/2 tbsp
- Chicken powder 1 tsp
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Pepper 1/4 tsp
Sauce- Thickening:
- Oyster sauce 1 1/2 tbsp
- Corn starch as desired
- Pepper a pinch
- Dark soy a drizzle
Method- Mince shrimp as shrimp paste.
- Scoop the seeds of hairy melon out and leave a hole in the middle.
- Mix minced pork, shrimp paste and seasonings in a large bowl. Stir towards the same direction until you feel the stickiness of the paste.
- Stuff the hairy melon and steam for 15 minutes. Heat all thickening until thick, pour on the hairy melon and serve hot.
