Chinese Dishes - Hairy Melon and Shrimp in Chu Hou Sauce

Ingredient

  • Hairy melon 6 taels

  • Shrimp 2 taels

  • Green bean vermicelli 2 taels

  • Shitake mushroom 1 tael

  • Shredded carrot 1 tael

  • Shredded ginger a few

  • Crushed garlic a few

  • Minced ginger a few

Method

  1. Soak green bean vermicelli and drain. Remove stalk of shitake mushroom. Soak and cut in strips.

  2. Deep fry shrimp and hairy melon in boiling oil for just a while. Drain.

  3. Saute carrot, shitake mushroom, shredded ginger, minced ginger and crushed garlic. Add stock and cook for a while. Add shrimp, hairy melon, chu hou sauce and seasonings. Bring to a boil again. Then, stir in green bean vermicelli.
