Chinese Dishes - Tamarind Ribs with Pickles

Ingredient

  • 24 taels spare rib

  • 2 tsp fish sauce

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • some tamarind

  • some palm sugar

  • some shallot

Seasoning

Method

  1. Soak the tamarind in hot water to make pickled water.

  2. Rinse the spare ribs and absorb the water and marinate with marinate with marinade for 1 hour.

  3. Heat the wok to sautee shallot. Then, add in spare ribs.

  4. Then, pour in tamarinded water. Then turn to high heat to braise the spare ribs for 5 minutes. Then, add in palm sugar and seasonings. Then, turn to medium heat to braise for another 20 minutes.
