Chi中 Eng英 Ind印 Soup - Beef Brisket and Turnip Soup
Ingredient - 600g turnips
- 450g beef brisket
- 75g peanuts
- 1/3 quarter dried tangerine peel
- 4 red dates
- 3 slices ginger
- salt a pinch

Sauce- Dipping Sauce:
- Light soy sauce as desired
- Cooked oil as desired
Method- Cut fat from beef brisket. Blanch in boiled water for 5 minutes. Remove and rinse.
- Peel and wash turnips. Cut into pieces. Wash peanuts. Wash and core red dates. Soak dried tangerine peel until it is tender and remove pith.
- Bring suitable amount of water to the boil with dried tangerine peel. Add all ingredients. Boil for 10 minutes. Turn to low heat and cook for 2 1/2 hours until beef brisket is tender. Leave to cool. Cut into pieces. Serve with dipping sauce. Season soup with salt. Serve.
