Chi中 Eng英 Chinese Dishes - Steamed custard cake
Ingredient - 120g flour
- 3 tbsps custard powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp soda
- 3 eggs
- 180g sugar
- 4 tbsps melted butter
- 2 tbsps evaporated milk
- 1 steamed salted duck egg yolk (crushed)

Method- Sift flour, crustard powder, baking powder and soda together.
- Beat the eggs with sugar with an electric mixer for 8 minutes until it stands.
- Add sifted flour mixture to the eggs and stir well. Then leave it for 15 minutes.
- Add melted butter and evaporated milk. Stir till well incorporated.
- Line a 18-cm bamboo steamer with baking paper. Pour the batter in. Sprinkle the crushed salted duck egg yolk on top. Steam over boiling water for 30 minutes. Serve.
