Chinese Dishes - Poached garoupa in stock with matrimony vine

Ingredient

  • 1 garpoupa (about 400g)

  • 1 tbsp shredded ginger

  • 1 tbsp Qi Zi

  • 1 cup stock

  • 1 stalk matrimony vine

  • shredded spring onion

Method

  1. Wash the garoupa and wipe dry. Pick and save only the leaves of the matrimony vine. Discard the stem. Rinse the leaves well.

  2. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a wok. Stir fry ginger until fragrant. Add Qi Zi and pour in the stock. Bring to the boil.

  3. Put in the garoupa and cook for 8 minutes. Then add the leaves and boil for a moment. Dish up. Sprinkle shredded spring onion before serving.
