Chi中 Eng英 Dessert - Glutionus Rice Balls with Seawed Filling
Ingredient - Glutinous rice balls
- Water 10 taels
- Sugar 4 taels
- Glutinous rice flour 1 catty
- Mashed seaweed 1/2 catty
- Oil 2 taels

Seasoning- Water 1 catty
- Sugar 4 taels
- Mashed seaweed 2 taels
- Ginger 1 slice
Method- Mix boiling water with 1/3 glutinous rice flour until melted, then add in 2/3 glutinous rice flour sugar and oil. Mix well and knead into a dough. Then, knead into a long stick.
- Knead into balls and press as glutinous rice ball wrapper.
- 1. Knead seaweed as mini balls and wrap with glutinous rice ball wrapper.
- Cook glutinous rice balls in boiling water until they float.
- 1. Dissolve 2 taels of mashed seaweed, ginger and 4 taels of sugar in 1 catty (about 2 bowls) of boiling water. Add glutinous rice balls.
